Position Summary

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for a wide array of human resources functions. This includes talent acquisition, employee retention, and payroll management. Furthermore, this role will emphasize performance management and serve as a strategic partner in the development and execution of training and professional growth initiatives. The HR Business Partner will report directly to the Managing Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand and implement the organization's human resource and talent strategy, focusing on current and future talent requirements, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
  • Design, develop, and execute human resources programs and processes related to performance evaluations, talent development, and the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist the Managing Director of HR in the talent acquisition process, which may involve recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding; work with departmental managers to identify necessary skills and competencies for job openings.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Develop programs and initiatives that foster continuous growth for employees.
  • Engage in and implement HR strategic plans focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and social impact.
  • Assess the developmental needs of the firm, collaborating closely with learning leaders across various practices.
  • Create and deliver engaging learning and development opportunities for team members.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing and new programs, making improvements as necessary.
  • Manage semi-monthly payroll for a multi-state workforce and oversee benefits administration.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively when necessary.
  • Commitment to acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and performance management systems; experience with Paylocity is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as an HR Generalist; experience in Learning & Development and DEI initiatives is a plus.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification/s are highly desirable.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to navigate the organization's offices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Standard work hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Competitive benefits package including 401(k), healthcare, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, dependent care FSA, HSA/FSA, and transit benefits.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range of $75,000 - $125,000 annual base salary and eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
