Position Overview:

Our client, a prominent entity in sustainable development with a workforce of over 6,000 professionals across more than 100 nations, is in search of a Vice President of Human Resources to operate at the enterprise level.

The VP of HR will spearhead the formulation and execution of comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs that are compliant and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. This executive role is vital in fostering a cohesive culture, supporting various divisions, and ensuring a positive employee experience. The VP of HR will be tasked with reimagining operational frameworks to cater to the needs of Shared Services, optimizing service delivery to Business Lines (BLs), and assessing the overall effectiveness of enterprise HR initiatives to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive HR transformation projects, focusing on the integration of advanced HR technologies and the development of a Human Capital Management system to refine HR processes and bolster organizational efficiency.
  • Oversee specialized HR functions that prioritize critical service delivery, continuously evolving a culture dedicated to exceptional talent management, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
  • Formulate enterprise-wide policies and practices that support strategic goals, promote employee engagement, and enrich organizational culture, ensuring consistency across all divisions.
  • Exhibit proficiency in navigating the intricate landscape of employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to labor regulations and reporting requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan obligations.
  • Play a pivotal role in aligning HR resources during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Support Board of Directors in HR-related activities, including compensation strategies, succession planning, and retirement planning.
  • Deliver HR services across all divisions effectively.
  • Develop the annual HR division strategy and budget, managing resources to achieve financial and programmatic objectives.
  • Establish strategic partnerships among stakeholders and subsidiaries, influencing policy and programming priorities to foster organizational growth.
  • Act as a thought leader in international HR development, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization.
  • Encourage staff performance and professional growth, fostering skilled management and mentorship.
  • Create a collaborative workplace environment that values teamwork, recognizes contributions, and enhances synergies between divisions.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly preferred.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 15 years of experience in HR leadership, with a focus on strategic HR functions such as talent management and organizational development.
  • Proven success in leading HR transformation initiatives and optimizing HR processes through technology.
  • Experience with Human Capital Management systems and their effective organization-wide application.
  • Prior experience with Employee Stock Ownership Programs is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and international HR practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex managerial and operational challenges with extensive knowledge and independent judgment.
  • Strong leadership, vision, and management capabilities to enhance the company's operational success and reputation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate insights on complex HR and business issues persuasively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex activities, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence, emphasizing empathy and compassion.
  • Availability during standard business hours and willingness to travel internationally as required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The base salary for this position ranges from $210,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, the role is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Program of up to 15%.

Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; participation in a 401(k) plan; and a Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan. Executive-level employees accrue 23 days of universal leave annually, along with four personal days and nine paid holidays.
