RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Grasp the knowledge of TAYS, Inc, offerings, and set the strategic business development direction.
  • Learn and maintain the knowledge of federal procurement cycles, Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies, industry decision makers and influencers.
  • Develop, follow, and enforce the business development strategy.
  • Build a business development pipeline and call plan for current and future customers.
  • Meet with current customers to ensure quality assurance with services provided and future customers to offer IT services providing revenue growth opportunities for TAYS, Inc.
  • Pursue opportunities in the federal marketplace that align with TAYS, Inc's priorities.
  • Assess competition and foster customer, prime contractor, subcontractor relationships and recommend partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Own the relationship with internal teams to develop innovative solutions linked to customer needs.
  • Ensure marketing efforts and communications are understood and well received within the federal marketplace.
  • Collaborate with Capture/Proposal team to ensure high win percentages.
  • Maintain weekly progress and market intelligence reports in the company's CRM to conduct pipeline meetings with current and potential customers.
  • Value and protect TAYS, Inc's confidential information and assure no conflict of interest.
  • Continue job learning through participating in educational opportunities, maintaining and developing professional partnerships, and attending industry events.
*This is a full-time, remote role with occasional travel to company events and meetings as needed. Must reside in the DMV area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of full sales cycle experience of IT services to federal government agencies
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven client facing experience
  • Proven experience working with Health & Human Services (HHS) agencies (FDA, CMS, NIH, CDC, HRSA)
  • Microsoft Suite experience (Office 365)
Preferred:
  • Sales experience with HHS agencies (FDA, CMS, NIH, CDC, HRSA)
  • Sales experience with Social Security Administration (SSA) or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
  • Managerial experience of at least 3 direct reports
  • IT Project Management / Service Delivery experience
  • Easy Gov Ops (Market Intelligence software) experience
  • CRM experience
Desired:
  • Proven success of bid winning with government agencies
  • Sales or project management experience of cyber security

SALARY: $125K plus performance-based bonus
