About the Role
The Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Outreach Manager to drive growth strategy, business development, and outreach efforts to increase the impact of Armstrong's research, educational programs, and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to assess areas for programmatic growth and develop plans for business development, marketing, and outreach.
- Establish relationships with internal and external health system and institutional leaders, as well as potential collaborators and clients in government entities, foundations, industry, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and marketing strategy for Armstrong affiliated consulting and educational engagements and conferences.
- Manage marketing initiatives, communications, and event planning, and oversee sales and revenue capture for programs.
- Meet revenue and cost targets, and drive efforts to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field of study.
- Five years of relevant experience, with additional experience and/or training substituting for some education.
- Strong business development and marketing skills, with experience in healthcare delivery, patient safety, healthcare quality, performance improvement, healthcare regulation, pay for performance, and public reporting.
- Ability to lead business development and marketing initiatives, with a proven track record of success.
