About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Retail Development. This is a critical role that will play a key part in driving business growth and success for Boar's Head Brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and profitability through effective retail relationships and partnerships.
  • Lead the development of retail playbooks for assigned accounts, ensuring seamless execution and implementation at the store level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, training, and category leadership, to set goals, measure, and monitor performance.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local purveyors, driving business growth and sustainability.
  • Conduct market evaluations to identify growth opportunities and maintain proactive account management.
  • Establish and sustain effective communication with local purveyors, developing credibility and motivation through support of their business efforts.
  • Evaluate and measure the success of local purveyors and their retail partners, monitoring sales and profitability through effective distribution channels and category management.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of local marketing activities through implementation and execution at the retail and deli associate level.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of retail management experience in national or regional multi-unit retailers, with expertise in retail operations and selling.
  • Experience leading large teams with proven results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster an environment of trust and respect.
  • Critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
  • Highly developed organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and forge partnerships across diverse populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
