Senior Philanthropy Officer - Swedish First Hill (Full Time, Day Shift)

General Summary:

Swedish Foundation is looking for a skilled Senior Philanthropy Officer to secure gifts at the $50,000+ levels for one or more of the Foundations priority Institutes or Enterprises. Swedish Foundations mission is to raise funds to improve the health and well-being of each person served within the Swedish Medical Center System. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will contribute to our mission through engaging and partnering with physician champions, Board of Governors, high-level volunteers, and Foundation colleagues to build and grow relationships with prospective and current donors.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, this position will engage in prospect research and discovery work, develop effective solicitation strategies, as well as steward donors throughout the moves management process. The successful candidate will also have a thorough background in fundraising best practices and donor databases for managing donor and solicitation records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience

  • 5 years Development or sales experience

  • Experience in a major, decentralized institution, preferably health care or higher education

Providence Swedish is the largest not-for-profit health care system in the greater Puget Sound area.
