About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Leader to join our team at Philanthropy Northwest as the Assistant Vice President for Development Marketing and Communications. This is a unique opportunity to lead and integrate the functions that build and enhance the reputation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Communications and Events
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and events strategy to cultivate and steward donors and prospective donors.
    • Lead the development of strategic communications to support fundraising initiatives and overall fundraising success.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of special events that align with fundraising and campaign priorities.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise four teams of diverse programmatic staff, with 15 total staff members.
    • Provide leadership and oversight to the Senior Director for Engagement and Communications, the Director of Strategic Communications, and the Associate Director of Brand and Creative.
  • Candidate Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in any field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in non-profit or institutional advancement, marketing and public relations, or a related field.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Values the importance of inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
    • Knowledge and experience with fundraising principles, marketing principles, and industry trends.
