The Department of Defense's (DoD) Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program works cooperatively with allies and partners to reduce or eliminate WMD threats. The DoD's CTR Program is implemented by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in alignment with the 2017 National Security Strategy, 2018 National Defense Strategy, and the DoD Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Strategy. The cooperative nature of the DoD's CTR activities yields a secondary benefit of strengthening regional alliances, deepening existing partnerships, and attracting new partners.

Role Description:

At Noblis and Noblis ESI, we have excellent teams of smart, collaborative, proactive experts, and professionals. We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the strategic goals of the DTRA CTR program.

Noblis is looking to hire a Training Specialist to support the DTRA CTR Program Integration (CT-PI) as part of the CTR Training Team. Responsibilities for the position include training support to CTR, as well as, coordination with CTR subject matter experts, leadership, and Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) personnel and leadership, including but not limited to:
  • Arrange and manage logistics for training events; create agendas; confirm instructors; compile roster; send out participant and instructor invitations; ensure materials are current; communicate with participants; set up training environment; facilitate course operations
  • Assess knowledge gaps and provide training and professional development solutions
  • Facilitate training events
  • Track and maintain metric database for CTR Training portfolio
  • Assist in annual update of all courses
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure courses are aligned with CTR needs
  • Help plan and execute yearly Agency-wide Training Week
  • Actively collaborate to build networks across all of CTR
  • Work closely with the Training Team lead to keep them well informed of upcoming deadlines and responsibilities, following up appropriately
  • Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization
Required Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher and three years relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • DoD SECRET clearance or higher, or ability to obtain a U.S. clearance
Desired Qualifications
  • Greater than 3 years' experience
  • Experience working with the U.S. government on areas concerning national security.
  • Familiarity with State-level and regional WMD threats.
  • Familiarity with nonproliferation obligations, approaches, and objectives.
  • International engagement experience.
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including directors, department leads, and overseas staff
  • Make appropriate, informed decisions regarding priorities and available time.
  • Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion.
  • Flexibility/adaptability to facilitate or instruct courses as needed
  • Candidates with a Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance are preferred or ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.

USD $70,800.00 - USD $123,900.00 /Yr.
