For 30 years, we have lead child abuse prevention efforts in Maine and are looking for a dedicated human services professional who brings expertise, technical skill, and passion that will enhance, support, and drive future efforts for programming all over the state.

Maine Children’s Trust is seeking a highly competent coordinator with skills and experience in developing parent leadership efforts as well as community partnerships. As part of the prevention management team, this position reports to the Executive Director. The major focus of the Family & Community Support Specialist Coordinator will support strategic partnerships as well as infrastructure pathways and support for diverse parent/ caregiver voices throughout the primary prevention system. Additional responsibilities will include public awareness efforts, training, and technical assistance, and a variety of program related management tasks and projects.
- Proven experience in social services programs and project development
- Familiarity with community outreach
- Knowledge of working with parents/caregivers and elevating caregiver voices
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and manage multiple activities
- Ability to effectively convene and lead coalitions and working groups
- Availability to work during typical business hours
- Ability and willingness to travel in-state, with out-of-state travel also required occasionally
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
