Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Specialist to provide essential assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Employment Type:
Regular Part-Time

Role Responsibilities:
As a Community Support Specialist, you will:
  • Facilitate support for individuals and groups within the community as part of our waiver services.
  • Assist clients in expressing their needs and preferences for services and support.
  • Implement personalized services to achieve the goals outlined in each individual's Centered Plan.
  • Understand the unique backgrounds and aspirations of the individuals you support.
  • Work under supervision to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

Compensation:
Pay rate of $13.50 per hour, with incentive pay included.

Work Schedule:
Shifts may vary by location, with availability throughout the week, including:
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
  • 8 and 12-hour shifts

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED, or achieve a minimum score on the Short Test of Functional Health Literacy for Adults.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift 30 lbs regularly and a minimum of 70 lbs when necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CPR and have the ability to perform essential physical tasks.

Key Duties:
In this role, you will:
  • Assist with health and safety protocols.
  • Support the development of individuals in your care.
  • Contribute to community life for those supported.
  • Provide assistance to team members and supervisors.
  • Help with medical requests and data collection.
