The Hotel Property Accountant/Human Resources role involves managing financial operations and overseeing human resources functions within the hotel property.

Responsibilities
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions before settlement
  • Financial analysis of hotel operations including preparing variance explanations and making recommendations to ensure the achievement of business goals 
  • Oversees accounts receivable process
  • Oversees preparation of daily reports to assist management
  • Processes accounts payable data and processes
  • Daily balancing of accounts
  • Prepares monthly data to complete financial statements
  • Coordinates payroll processes
  • Ensures compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assists with budgeting and forecasting
  • Manages employee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Administers employee benefits and compensation programs
  • Manages employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Handles employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR two years of related experience/training
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization 
  • Supervising/Managerial experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong Math skills and ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry
  • Advanced computer knowledge and skills in Excel, email, composing documentation, PowerPoint presentations, and backing up important data
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience in human resources is preferred
