The purpose of the Community Engagement Manager is to support the efforts of Call to Freedom by engaging community awareness and partnerships, assist with agency events, and oversee the volunteer department.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of healthy physical, emotional, and spiritual boundaries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible, self-directed, trainable, and responsive.
  • This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week. Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule, including evenings during the week and a few weekend hours per month, as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree or five years of related experience.


CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: N/A

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist the President & CEO and Managing Director of Development & Community Engagement with connections in South Dakota and surrounding regions for financial partnerships and volunteer recruitment/engagement.
  • Oversee the coordination of reaching out to churches and community groups to fundraise and recruit volunteers.
  • Coordinate outreaches to local businesses to engage in holding individual fundraisers benefiting CTF.
  • Reach out to local businesses and churches to conduct Call to Learn events.
  • With oversight from the President & CEO and the Managing Director of Development & Community Engagement to help coordinate fundraising and community driven events including but not limited to Community Breakfast, quarterly informational luncheons, Adopt-A-Family, community driven fundraisers, and additional promotional events for CTF.
  • Be the main contact between CTF and volunteers.
  • Oversee the volunteer recruitment, orientation and placement of volunteers while utilizing staff input and direction of their needs.
  • Vet and place volunteers according to agency needs.
  • Oversee management of volunteer hours and in-kind donations for grant reporting with Executive Assistant and Director of Grants Management. The process could include, but not limited to, training and working with all CTF locations to better track and implement reporting for grant match.
  • Coordinate with Development team to attend community events.
  • Coordinate internal logistics with CTF volunteers for fundraising events.
  • Maintain documentation and records as appropriate.
  • Under the direction of Managing Director of Development & Community Engagement, work with CTF team to meet program and client needs as they develop.
  • Attend DOVIA and Helpline member meetings and events.
  • Attend staff meetings, luncheons, and other outreach events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
