PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: (90%)
  • Engages with clients in a polite, professional, and approachable manner to assess their requirements. Offers suitable products or refers them to relevant departments within the bank to provide effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all teller functions and delivers exceptional customer service at the teller counter.
  • Handles IRA distributions and sales, ensuring to stay updated on changes by participating in IRA training sessions.
  • Processes debit card requests, including activation, closure, deletion, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Assists clients with Internet Banking and other retail technological solutions, resolving related banking issues.
  • Maintains risk-related documentation, including dormant, negative, and write-off accounts, as well as managing Money Service Business, Cash Management, Merchant Source Capture, and Consumer Source Capture clientele.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: (10%)
  • Fosters relationships with fellow bank employees to promote teamwork.
  • Represents the bank at various community and civic events.
  • Participates in retail meetings, adheres to compliance protocols, and engages in mandatory training sessions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • Preferred experience in customer service and/or retail cashier roles. Previous banking experience is advantageous.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred (bilingual).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Resourceful, well-organized, and capable of multitasking.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • High ethical standards.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
  • Achieves or surpasses annual objectives set by the immediate supervisor.
  • Complies with regulatory standards.
  • Meets all sales and growth targets.
  • Balances efficiently and accurately, with quarterly discrepancies below 3.
  • Obtains a minimum of 3 referrals each quarter.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is primarily conducted within the bank, with minimal risk of personal injury. Requires prolonged mental and visual concentration. May encounter stressful situations due to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Typical work hours align with standard business hours, though unscheduled evening and weekend work may be necessary to accommodate client and employee needs. Occasional out-of-town and overnight business travel may be required. Some Saturday work may also be necessary. Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment, with some bending, turning, and twisting involved.
