Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. The Community Engagement Coordinator supports the mission and vision of Sky Ranch through excellent marketing events and materials that create excitement about our ministries. This position supports the Community Engagement Manager by researching, coordinating, executing, and evaluating marketing events and marketing campaigns, with the purpose of creating organic engagement and community involvement. As part of the strategic marketing plan, community engagement facilitates recruiting campers and families to the summer camp ministries of Sky Ranch Christian Camps and provides support to the Community Engagement Manager through the creation of content related to the strategic marketing plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support and assistance to the Community Engagement Manager.
  • Explore, schedule, staff, and attend all marketing events, according to the event marketing schedule.
  • Maintain documented evaluations for each event or campaign.
  • Ensure that each event has the necessary banners, marketing collateral, giveaways, and other supplies necessary for successfully hosting the event.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the Community Engagement Manager
  • Participate in marketing research and data analysis.
  • Collect social content during summer programs, family ministry events, SkyMoms gatherings, and strategic retreats.
  • Collect information at events and maintain database; follow up with potential guests.
  • Provide general support to Marketing and Communications as required.
  • Provide support to Guest Services as required.
  • Provide support to SkyMoms Ministry.
  • Participate in relational social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate on graphic projects for print and social media.
  • Participate in social media platform engagement and inquiries.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain compliance with Sky Ranchs employee policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design, communications, or related field, or significant related work experience.
EXPERIENCE
  • One to two years.
KNOWLEDGE
  • In-depth understanding of marketing strategy and execution.
  • Working understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of all departments and programs of Sky Ranch and able to answer specific questions regarding locations and ministry programs.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient working knowledge of content management websites and email marketing systems is preferred.
  • Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Basic internet and social media skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills necessary to appropriately influence people to achieve a desired outcome.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Physical effort required on a routine basis; ability to use up to 30 pounds of force frequently for moving and carrying objects.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination.
  • Requires some physical agility, including but not limited to bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder; setting up marketing displays, banners, tables, and canopies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Works indoors in normal office environment about half of the time and outdoors the other time. Sets up and oversees marketing displays at a variety of locations, indoors and outdoors, sometimes exposed to the seasonal weather elements.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Ability to travel to various geographic locations, including travel by car, and some overnight stays including weekends.
  • Ability to work occasionally evenings and weekends as needed.
