Position: Community Engagement Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY:

This position presents a valuable opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission. The Community Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in providing operational support and actively engaging with the community to promote health education and facilitate access to services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program and Project Assistance:
    • Organize project documentation, data, and communication streams.
    • Coordinate meetings and appointments.
    • Prepare analytical reports and presentations.
    • Support program execution by gathering and evaluating data.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Implement outreach initiatives in local communities through personal interactions and events.
    • Deliver educational sessions on health-related topics, including prevention, testing, vaccination, and available support services.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with community members and partners.
    • Guide individuals to appropriate services and resources based on their specific needs.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
    • Welcome visitors and manage various administrative duties.
    • Oversee office supplies and equipment maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or relevant experience in social services or a related field, along with 2 years of experience working with the target demographic.
  • Background in community education/outreach; understanding of health equity, disparities, and social determinants of health.
  • Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
