Job Schedule: Full-Time

We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to become a vital part of our Family Hope Center team. In this role, you will illuminate the path for our program participants by organizing, managing, and overseeing activities, workshops, and services that bolster Buckner's mission while delivering educational and empowerment initiatives to families. Your responsibilities will include promoting the Family Hope Center and acting as a bridge with community partners, civic organizations, and local businesses. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all adult empowerment workshops, including the recruitment and training of volunteers to facilitate these sessions.
  • Lead and instruct core workshops at the Family Hope Center, such as Financial Literacy, Career Development, English as a Second Language, General Educational Development, and Parenting Skills.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance programming at the Family Hope Center, coordinating and executing community events and assisting with workshops as necessary.
  • Organize regular events at the Family Hope Center, including health fairs, educational sessions, holiday gatherings, training for local leaders, and community celebrations.
  • Work with team members to develop and host workshops that engage the community with educational programming aligned with the Family Hope Center's framework.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of all Family Hope Center activities and distribute notifications regarding events and volunteer opportunities to relevant staff.
  • Collaborate with the volunteer coordinator to oversee volunteer activities, ensuring accurate documentation of hours worked.
  • Provide leadership, support, and direction to Family Hope Center initiatives by analyzing data from evidence-based programs and developing action plans utilizing available resources and volunteers.
  • Establish professional relationships with educational institutions and agencies that offer job training, life skills training, employment services, housing, and childcare to coordinate services for program participants.
  • Engage with family coaches and team members to identify client family needs and develop referral resources accordingly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is necessary.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in community-based services, crisis intervention, or direct social services is required.
  • Ability to assess situations accurately and determine appropriate actions is essential.
  • Familiarity with community resources, including social service and health providers, is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage under Buckner's policy.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects as needed.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
