Position Overview: The Vice President of Sales will be a key leader at Revcord, responsible for steering our sales initiatives across diverse product lines, including Private Label and licensing. This role is crucial in driving the company's growth by enhancing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading our sales teams to achieve and surpass sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Major Account Sales and Sales Processes:
- Sales Targeting: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and strategically target key accounts, dealers, and distributors. Develop, maintain, and regularly update a detailed plan and target list, complete with monthly and quarterly reports to track progress.
- Lead Follow-Up: Oversee the lead follow-up process, ensuring coordination between Inside Sales and other departments for efficient processing and tracking of sales opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Take charge of key account management to establish and nurture strong relationships with major customers and strategic partners. Conduct high-level negotiations to secure contracts and favorable terms with key accounts. Represent Revcord at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential customers and partners.
- Sales Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor sales personnel to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective product selling. Set clear sales performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Cultivate a positive sales culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
- Sales Operation: Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales department to ensure efficiency and alignment with the company's objectives. Implement sales tools and technologies to streamline processes and enhance customer engagement. Coordinate closely with the marketing department to ensure a cohesive approach between marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
- Travel and Client Meetings: Undertake domestic and international travel to meet key accounts and potential customers. Regularly visit distributors and partners to reinforce relationships and support their sales efforts. Utilize office days for conducting internal meetings, strategy sessions, and direct mentorship of the sales team. Ensure consistent communication with national accounts, dealers, and distributors. Oversee the recruitment and management of sales representatives and associates.
2. Sales Administration
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain detailed sales reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, profit margins, market penetration, and customer acquisition rates. Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future sales, and pinpoint areas for improvement or adjustment in sales strategies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for executive leadership, emphasizing achievements and highlighting areas that require attention.
- KPI Management: Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, including individual and team quotas, lead conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores. Monitor performance against these KPIs, offering regular feedback and coaching to ensure the sales team meets or exceeds targets.
- Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, allocating resources efficiently for travel, marketing materials, and customer events. Maximize return on investment through efficient budget use, adjusting spending based on performance and market conditions as necessary.
- Sales Strategy Development: Work closely with executive leadership to develop and refine the company’s sales strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives. Identify new market opportunities and sales channels, and devise strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
3. Office and Travel Expectations:
- This position will entail travel at least 25% of the time. The remaining time will be primarily office. This would not be considered a work remote position.
