Job Summary: The Head of Risk is responsible for developing and implementing the organization's risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all areas of the business. This role involves overseeing risk assessment activities, leading risk management initiatives, and providing strategic guidance to ensure organizational resilience and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the organization's risk management framework and strategy, aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and analysis of potential risks, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance-related risks.
  • Implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce risk exposure and enhance organizational resilience.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to integrate risk management practices into strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the risk management team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and present risk management reports and updates to the board of directors and executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Oversee risk-related audits, investigations, and assessments, addressing any identified issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor emerging risks and industry trends, adjusting risk management strategies as needed to address new challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in risk management, including leadership roles and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies and controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified Risk Management Professional) are a plus.
