Job Summary: The Head of Compliance is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the organization's compliance program. This role ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards to protect the organization's integrity and minimize legal and regulatory risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy and framework to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Oversee the design and execution of compliance programs, including risk assessments, audits, and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure that compliance policies and procedures are up-to-date and reflect current regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related issues, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees about compliance requirements and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Lead investigations into compliance breaches, manage corrective actions, and work with regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and updates to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk management, and other departments to address compliance challenges and enhance overall risk management efforts.
  • Manage and mentor the compliance team, providing leadership and support for professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in compliance management, including leadership roles and developing compliance programs.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) are a plus.
