3. Implement risk management initiatives aimed at minimizing potential losses and enhancing operational resilience.
4. Provide expert guidance to state agencies in identifying, evaluating, and controlling risks, thereby reducing adverse impacts.
5. Offer tailored resources and services to empower state entities in making informed decisions regarding risk management practices.
6. Assist in the prioritization of risks to facilitate meaningful improvements in quality and safety measures.
7. Develop actionable recommendations for risk prevention and control, ensuring state entities can effectively manage their risk exposure.
8. Conduct on-site consultations to identify hazards and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
9. Review and assess risk management programs to ensure alignment with established guidelines and compliance with relevant laws.
10. Deliver training sessions on risk management topics to enhance the knowledge and skills of client agencies and internal staff.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of four years of experience in risk management, insurance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in technical writing and the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- A valid Texas driver's license and the ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree from an accredited institution in risk management, insurance, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in risk management or claims coordination within a state agency setting.
- Relevant certifications such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Risk Management Specialist (CRM).
