As a Product Manager for Health Safe ID (HSID), you will support the development and management of this critical security product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our diverse clientele. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market research, and agile product development to drive the success of HSID.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
Assist in defining and refining the product vision for HSID that aligns with company goals and customer needsContribute to the product strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectivesMarket Research & Competitive Analysis
Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, industry trends, and competitive landscapeUse insights from market research to inform product direction and help differentiate HSID from competitorsProduct Development & Execution
Product Lifecycle ManagementManage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deploymentPrioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business valueCross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and timely product deliveryFacilitate communication between teams to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on product goalsAgile Product Development
Implement Agile methodologies to manage the product development process, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirementsMaintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap and strategic goalsStakeholder Management
Engage with StakeholdersServe as a point of contact for HSID-related inquiries, providing clear communication to stakeholdersBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and leadershipCommunicate Product Progress
Prepare and deliver regular product updates, including roadmap presentations, status reports, and performance metricsGather and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the product development process to ensure alignment with business needsPerformance & Optimization
Monitor Product PerformanceTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of HSID, identifying areas for improvementUse data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product enhancementsContinuous Improvement
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning, and iterationStay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to keep HSID competitiveCustomer Focus
Understand Customer NeedsConduct user research and gather customer feedback to understand user needs and preferencesTranslate customer insights into actionable product requirements and featuresEnhance User Experience
Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring HSID delivers a seamless and secure login experienceCollaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfacesRisk Management
Identify & Mitigate RisksIdentify potential risks and challenges related to product development and deploymentDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful product deliveryEnsure Compliance & Security
Ensure HSID complies with relevant regulations and best practices for digital identity and access managementWork with security and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure data protectionYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
High School/GED2+ years of experience in product, with a focus on identity, security, mobile, and web-based domainsProven deep understanding and interest in security and identity mapping for secure identity integrityDemonstrated ability to build and nurture high-performing teams that fosters a collaborative environmentProven experience in managing products through their entire lifecycle from concept to launch and beyondProven solid customer empathy and experience in conducting user research and usability testingDemonstrated ability to conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product strategyDemonstrated skilled in developing and maintaining a product roadmapProven understanding of software development lifecycle, ability to work closely with engineering teamsProven proficiency in data analysis and metrics-driven decision-makingProven experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha, or similarPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Information Security / MBA Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance search functionalities, identity, eligibility, and securityProven experience in driving innovation and staying ahead of industry trends to continuously improve user experience and platform capabilitiesDemonstrated examples of effective Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including product teams, engineers, and business leadersProven interest in analytical and problem-solving, with a knack for overcoming technical and business challengesDemonstrated ability articulate the why behind driving outcomes over outputs, ensuring that initiatives deliver tangible value to the organization*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
