The working hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential overtime on Fridays. The hourly wage for this position is $21.30.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Production Line Supervisor, you will take the lead in ensuring that all team members collaborate effectively to meet production goals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing production line efficiency, minimizing waste, and adhering to established work standards. You will also be tasked with completing work orders in accordance with quality standards.

1. Safety and Health

  • Utilize provided safety equipment, including ear protection and cut-resistant gloves.
  • Successfully complete mandatory safety training sessions to comply with OSHA regulations and company policies.

2. Quality Assurance

  • Implement food safety and quality improvement initiatives to meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Assist in managing product rejects according to established procedures, focusing on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of sanitation stations throughout the production process.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices, including hand sanitation and equipment handling.

3. Cost Management

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with production staff and management to produce high-quality products at the lowest possible cost.

4. Operational Standards

  • Ensure all materials are scanned and accounted for according to work orders.
  • Operate line equipment safely and efficiently to meet production standards.
  • Prepare the production line for startup, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and packaging standards.
  • Address any deviations from standard operating procedures promptly.
  • Adjust equipment speeds as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Accurately document production times and any downtime in the designated software.
  • Ensure proper shutdown of equipment at the end of shifts and breaks.
  • Verify materials used against production recipes and complete necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a 100% fill rate standard.
  • Manage changes to film, labels, and other production materials as required.

5. Leadership and Communication

  • Uphold the mission and values of E.A. Sween Company.
  • Maintain open communication with team leads and supervisors regarding production issues.
  • Foster a positive and friendly work atmosphere.
  • Demonstrate reliability, strong attendance, and adherence to safety and GMP standards.

6. Equipment and Tools

  • Operate various machinery including Multivac equipment, printers, and slicing machines.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in assembly work and knowledge of GMPs is essential.
  • Mechanical aptitude is necessary for working with machinery.
  • Internal candidates must meet or exceed production standards for at least six months.
  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in English is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is necessary.
  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, twist, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Must be able to work in cooler conditions.
  • Must be able to perform all positions on the production line.
