We are seeking a highly technical and independent Senior Technical Product Manager with a solid focus on design and user experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of self-sufficiency, initiative, and an in-depth understanding of product development processes. By joining our team as a Senior Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative products that deliver significant value to our users while continually pushing for higher standards in all we do.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and launch of complex product features that meet the needs of our users and align with company objectives
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create user-centric designs and enhance the usability of our products
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical constraints, provide clarifications on product requirements, and ensure successful feature deployments. This includes participating in technical discussions, understanding engineering challenges, offering insights during problem-solving sessions, and supporting the team in finding optimal solutions
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, user needs, and technical dependencies
  • Foster a solid partnership with the engineering team, maintaining open lines of communication to address issues promptly, facilitate decision-making processes, ensure alignment between product vision and technological capabilities while promoting a collaborative work environment
  • Analyze user feedback, usage data, and industry trends to inform product decisions
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through independent problem-solving and proactive process refinement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in product management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UX/UI Design, engineering experience
  • Solid technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technological concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in design thinking methodology with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and ideas clearly across all levels in the organization

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
