We are currently in search of a Buyer to enhance our Merchandising team, focusing specifically on the Health category.

The Buyer within the Merchandising department is entrusted with a distinct category (Health) and plays a pivotal role in meeting sales and margin targets. This position involves crafting and implementing product assortments, strategic planning, and managing vendor relationships to drive sales and surpass customer expectations in the realm of Fashion Merchandising.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop category assortments and formulate a strategic sales management plan through product sourcing, development, positioning, and pricing.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and category benchmarks to uncover new product opportunities.
  • Oversee brand and product development processes in alignment with the objectives set by the product/buyers' goals.
  • Establish and nurture vendor relationships while monitoring vendor performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to effectively convey and implement the product/buyers' strategic vision.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including the preparation of purchase orders (POs) and assisting with item setup.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience in a similar role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related environment (Wholesale, Product Development, Process Improvement, or Retail).
  • At least 1 year of leadership or ownership experience in Project Management (PM).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in cross-functional communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience in product development, particularly with imports.
  • Experience in a merchandising role within a home shopping network.
