The Product & Operations Director will create roadmaps, oversee production SaaS environments, and drive security and audit compliance. Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and development teams to help deliver the product on schedule, on budget and meet all promised SLAs. Manage overall offering and process for service issue tracking from triaging to resolution. Put in place monthly operational metrics before leadership to gather feedback and operation reports for business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership
    • Oversee the technical architecture and infrastructure of the SaaS platform
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalability, security, and performance of the product
    • Own the end-to-end system design, ensuring all components work together harmoniously
    • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system, drive architecture improvements to enhance system reliability and performance
    • Collaborate with hosting team to implement solutions that ensure the product can scale efficiently to handle increasing loads and user demands
    • Collaborate with hosting team on laying out plan to optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
    • Develop and implement a technology strategy that supports the product vision and business goals. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices and innovations
  • Operations management
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and scalability of product development and delivery
    • Manage day-to-day operations, including project management, and process improvement
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA and FDA guidelines
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement
    • Ensure efficient incident management and resolution to maintain high availability and reliability of the platform
    • Oversee data management, privacy, and security protocols
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability and performance
    • Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues
    • Collaborate with hosting team to implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance. Utilize tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues related to .Net applications. Provide support and guidance to the development team
    • Collaborate with the executive team to align operational strategies with overall business objectives
  • Product Management
    • Collaborate with business owners to define the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and hosting, to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap
    • Effectively communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders. Ensure alignment on technical goals and priorities
    • Work closely with business product owner and stakeholders to ensure technical product requirements align with business goals
    • Oversee product testing and validation processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the product and operations teams
    • Drive cross-functional communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT operations and cloud infrastructure management
  • 5+ years in product management and operations within the healthcare technology industry
  • 3+ years of overseeing cloud environments, particularly Azure
  • 3+ years of managing and optimizing .Net applications within a cloud environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services and cloud infrastructure (Azure VMs, Azure networking, Azure Monitoring, etc.)
  • Proficiency in .Net development and deployment (C#, Asp.Net, .Net Core)
  • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant guidelines
  • Proven excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Proven exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
