The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for supporting developing new capabilities associated with our Oncology programs and designing + launching new re-engineering capabilities which will make our Oncology + Specialty programs more efficient.
The position reports directly to our Product lead for Re-engineering and works closely with Optum Health Solutions peers in other product areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design, planning and implementation of Optum's re-engineering programs with a focus on AI/ML solutions
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of various tech-driven enhancements within health care
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap that support business and operational needs for delivery including business requirements and product implementation
  • Develop product value proposition and messaging for external audiences
  • Support Business Development/Marketing and other business teams in proposal, renewal or new business efforts as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years broad and deep product management experience
  • 5+ years working in health care payer space
  • 3+ years working with technology to automate solutions
  • Success in building credibility, influence and partner with key clients
  • B2B experience
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence internal partner groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Oncology
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
