Job Description

As a Manager with Johnny Rockets, you will play an integral role in all areas of operations, from basic restaurant operations, guest relations, employee relations, and shift management to team building. You will work closely with the General Manager, learning the ins and outs of the business, with the ultimate goal of increasing profits by building sales and budgeting expenses. Every day is a great day at Johnny Rockets, and we look forward to having you on board

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve restaurant unit financial plan, including P&L and inventory management.
  • Model superior Guest service skills for all staff to follow.
  • Manage the team to ensure that not only is their job performed properly, but also they are managed in a positive manner that results in a great guest experience.
  • Build Guest loyalty to ensure repeat guests.
  • Drive profitability of the restaurant through positive management of food and labor.
  • Ensure all people and profit systems are utilized on a consistent basis.
  • Handle Guest concerns "right here and now." Each Guest transaction must be handled in a way that spreads Johnny Rockets' reputation in a positive manner.
  • Ensure the Guest Promise is being followed by every crew member on every shift.
  • Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude toward Guests and team members. This is a service position meaning that you always service either an internal or external customer.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Team Player that leads by example.
  • Sets the Guest-focused tone in the restaurant and supports the General Manager to empower Team Members to ensure the delivery of a great Guest Experience.
  • Sets the expectation for the shift including labor for the shift.

  • Smiles is upbeat, energetic, and provides a positive environment.
  • Manages the restaurant's cash in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Handles Guests' concerns "right here and now" with a positive, whatever it takes, attitude while in line with the Johnny Rockets reputation.
  • Ensures procedures and recipes are followed.
  • Overseas preparations and side work for both opening and closing shifts.
  • Conducts table touches.
  • Works safely by using good judgment and following Company and OSHA regulations.
  • Utilizes all tools provided. (Line Check, Deployment Chart, Floor Plan, etc.)
  • Maintain a valid Food Handler Manager Card.
  • Constantly scout and hire great talent; continuously recognize and develop this talent.
  • On boarding and training of newly hired team members.
  • Handle all employee relations issues including discipline and documentation.
  • Have Fun

Qualifications:

  • Verifiable restaurant management experience
  • HS Diploma. Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
  • Food Management Certification.

License:

  • Food Manager Certification (Required)
