ABOUT THE ROLE

Rev Agency LLC is in search of a seasoned Receivables Management Specialist to assess, enhance, and oversee the company's receivables operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is crucial in ensuring the effective collection of outstanding balances while nurturing positive relationships with our partners. The Receivables Management Specialist is instrumental in maintaining the company's financial stability by minimizing overdue accounts, addressing billing discrepancies, and optimizing cash flow. This position will significantly contribute to the company's growth and profitability through meticulous receivables management and exceptional client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of Receivables

  • Assess current receivables processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhanced policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
  • Oversee the complete receivables cycle, ensuring prompt and accurate invoicing and collections.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Ensure all agreements and contracts with partners are accurately documented and maintained.
  • Monitor aging reports and devise strategies to prioritize and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to ensure accurate invoicing and contract details.
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks or projects as required.

Collections Management

  • Conduct regular follow-ups on overdue accounts through various communication methods.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with partners in a professional manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all collection activities and communications.
  • Keep the Financial Controller informed of any collection challenges as necessary.
  • Oversee invoicing and collections processes based on agreed payment terms.

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of partners, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and accounting teams to resolve billing disputes and enhance partner satisfaction.
  • Deliver exceptional service to ensure partner retention and loyalty.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on receivables, including aging summaries and collection forecasts for management review.
  • Analyze receivables data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits related to receivables.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in receivables management, preferably within the service industry.
  • Recent experience in general accounting practices is desirable.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of receivables principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to manage and reduce outstanding receivables effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to solve problems and achieve results.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may involve primarily desk-based work, utilizing a laptop and monitors. Candidates should be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting and have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
