Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage non-clinical volunteers in TrueCare's mission to improve community health.
  • Assess the organization's volunteer needs and implement strategies for recruitment, placement, and retention.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to volunteers, ensuring their successful integration into the organization.
  • Maintain communication with volunteers through feedback surveys to enhance their experience and retention.
  • Offer guidance and coaching to maximize the potential of volunteers and departments.
  • Deliver exceptional service to patients, staff, and the broader community.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to align the internship program with organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in social services, health education, public health, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in coordinating community-based programs.
  • Background in social work and volunteer management.
  • Familiarity with vulnerable populations and the healthcare landscape.
  • Knowledge of public and private social service agencies and community resources.
  • Proficiency in PC-based software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of clinical and non-clinical volunteer placements.
