This role encompasses specific clerical, organizational, and patient-centered tasks that are vital for the efficient functioning of the nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, demonstrating leadership in various capacities.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth process.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
- Prepare patient rooms for new admissions, including setting up IV equipment and adjusting beds.
- Ensure all patient belongings are accounted for during transfers and discharges.
- Safely transport stable patients as required, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Procure, clean, and return medical equipment and supplies as needed.
- Run errands within the unit to support operational needs.
- Assist licensed personnel in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Perform specific patient care tasks as outlined in the skills checklist and document accordingly.
- Identify and report any significant changes in patients' conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Assist in managing inventory and maintaining stock items as needed.
- Organize unit supplies to ensure accessibility and orderliness.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and communicate clearly with team members.
- Attend to patient call lights and phone inquiries promptly.
- Adapt care methods to meet the diverse needs of patients, considering their unique circumstances.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned patient care responsibilities competently.
Qualifications:
A. Education/Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
B. Experience: Previous patient care experience in an acute care environment is advantageous.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: A valid CNA License in the state of employment is required, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Work Schedule: 7AM - 7PM
Work Type: Per Diem as needed
