Job Description

Brightspeed is seeking a System Billing Analyst to join our expanding Finance Systems team In this role, you will support our new billing platforms and serve as a subject matter expert for designated billing systems. This position will handle both technical and functional tasks, contributing to the development and optimization of Brightspeed's billing systems. This position will report to the Manager of Billing Systems within the Finance organization.

As A System Billing Analyst, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Drive Operational Efficiency: Play a key role in implementing system enhancements and updates, leading to improved efficiency, data accuracy, and overall system performance.
Innovate Billing Solutions: Support the development and rigorous testing of new billing products and services, ensuring they meet business needs and maintain system integrity.
Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teams across the Contact Center, Customer Services, IT, and Finance to streamline billing processes, ensuring seamless operations and accurate data flow.
Monitor System Performance: Continuously monitor and analyze key performance metrics of billing systems, providing insights that drive improvements and optimize system functionality.
Resolve Billing Challenges: Conduct in-depth research and triage to swiftly resolve billing issues, minimizing disruptions and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Propose System Enhancements: Identify opportunities for system improvements and propose actionable solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of billing systems.
Assess Project Impact: Evaluate the impact of new projects on existing billing systems, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with business objectives.
Contribute to Technical Projects: Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes for cross-functional projects, providing valuable insights from a billing systems perspective.
Document Business Requirements: Define, document, and communicate business requirements to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
Guide Reporting Accuracy: Offer expert guidance on reporting fields to ensure accurate and meaningful data is available for decision-making.
Maintain System Integrity: Perform system administration duties, ensuring the continued integrity, security, and functionality of billing systems.
Adapt to Evolving Needs: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the ongoing success of the billing systems and the broader Finance organization.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

What It Takes To Catch Our Eye:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience).
5 years of experience as a systems analyst.
Proficiency in billing software and ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose effective solutions.
Strong communication skills for collaborative work across teams in the organization.
Familiarity with industry-specific billing regulations and revenue recognition principles.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
