Candidates should be situated in the greater Charlotte, NC area and must be available for in-office training for a minimum of two weeks at the start of their employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Recognize the necessity for the review process and relay any issues to the claims examiner or supervisor.
- Gather and evaluate information to make informed decisions regarding billing precision and treatment protocols.
- Record activities and findings in the specified system.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during working hours.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- Understanding of ICD Diagnoses and Procedure Codes, C.P.T., and medical terminology.
- Acquaintance with fee schedules and healthcare guidelines.
- Competence in Microsoft applications and capacity to adapt to new systems.
- Ability to work autonomously, follow established guidelines, and achieve productivity benchmarks.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- CPC or CPC-A certification.
- Prior experience in medical billing audits and utilization review is preferred.
