Position Summary:

We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Billing Operations Analyst to become a vital part of our expanding team. In this role, you will report directly to the Billing Supervisor and play a crucial role in the successful execution of billing cycles within our systems. Your duties will encompass providing billing support to guarantee that customers receive precise invoices and that Brightspeed's revenue is accurately generated and reported.

Collaborating with project management, technical, and process teams, you will implement system improvements, troubleshoot issues, and refine procedures to ensure billing precision and revenue optimization. Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute bill cycle runs within the billing systems effectively.
  • Perform various pre-bill quality assessments.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues prior to initiating bill cycles.
  • Initiate and oversee bill cycle operations.
  • Monitor the progress of billing cycles.
  • Address rating, rendering, acceptance, and delivery discrepancies promptly, collaborating with IT and Operations teams.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks.
  • Generate trend analyses to pinpoint any revenue-affecting concerns.
  • Examine trend report data, conduct variance analyses, and communicate findings to management.
  • Establish customers with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) based on requests.
  • Manage and respond to inquiries directed to the Billing Team mailbox.
  • Assist with Bill Messaging Requests as needed.
  • Support the resolution of Bill Preview challenges.
  • Facilitate discussions to address and resolve recurring billing issues.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in billing operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in conveying information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with appropriate detail and discretion at all organizational levels.
  • Adept at building relationships and possessing strong listening skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and leadership presence; builds trust and fosters collaboration.
  • Highly organized, ensuring timely delivery of all tasks with outstanding results while anticipating potential workload challenges.

  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and processes and effectively share that knowledge with others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector.
