Job Summary: The Event Associate performs various duties in support of events on campus.


Additional Department Summary: Assists with the day-to-day operations of budgeting, planning, and executing events for the College of Arts & Sciences in coordination with the college's Event Planner and Event Coordinator. Manages invitation lists and RSVPs. Corresponds with event guests. Answers inquiries from departments. Reconciles Concur. Organizes Events team inventory. Orders event supplies. Submits work orders and Ground Use Permits. Answers the college's main events phone line.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working with events.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of Word, Excel, Teams, UA systems and processes including eTime, Everest, Banner/ePrint, PageUp, TouchNet, Concur, purchasing card policies and procedures.

Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good planning, coordinating, and organizing skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications: Prior events coordination experience in the college/university setting.
