Overview

As a member of the Inside Sales team, the incumbent will act as a liaison between customers and various internal departments on product and order related inquiries. This includes but is not limited to the processing of orders, providing pricing and delivery information, answering questions pertaining to shipments, and the handling of all other inquiries to ensure that customers receive products and services that meet or exceed their expectations.



Responsibilities
  • Operate as account manager for assigned customer base, building relationships with key points of contact, managing order pipeline and processing all orders and inquiries.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to ensure that all customer requirements are conveyed and that customer deliverables are on track.
  • Manage customer portals to ensure timely processing of orders, supplier scorecards, RFQs and customer forecasts.
  • Communicate with customers via email, portal, inbound and outbound calls.
  • Uses available time effectively and with sensitivity to time priority for critical customer and business priorities.
  • Provides prompt resolution to customer inquiries by providing appropriate and accurate information.
  • Assists with the implementation of processes, methods and procedures to improve day-to-day operations of customer service team.
  • Investigates and resolves claims or complaints by collecting and analyzing information. Coordinates with relevant functions on technical and/or quality issues; resolves customer complaints concerning deliveries, invoices or billing discrepancies.
  • Proactively anticipates customer needs, recognizes opportunities and refers customers to appropriate staff for product sales or problem resolution.
  • Communicates regularly with Outside Sales Managers to develop demand forecasts and track open proposals.
  • Accepts and completes any special projects and assignments that are not principal duties of this position but are in line with the goals and objectives of this department and Division.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
