Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for NSHE Specialist 1/Degree Audit Specialist. The Degree Audit Specialist analyzes and evaluates University curriculum and General Education requirements in order to implement and maintain systems to verify completion of degree requirements. The position analyzes complex requirements and develops coding schema based on the delivered PeopleSoft functionality, executes such coding, and tests and validates for the desired results. As new PeopleSoft functionality is released, the degree audit specialists participate in testing before the changes implemented in the production environment.

This role will collaborate with college-level advisement and Admission and Records (A&R) data analysis staff to develop reports based on batch audit data. In addition, this position is responsible for documentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution related to accuracy and reliability as well as evaluating upgrades and fixes associated with the Academic Advising Systems and Program Enrollment modules.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; OR
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of program support experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada state service which included applying complex laws and regulations, composing written materials and maintaining records; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with PeopleSoft experience and working in Admissions and Records in higher education are highly encouraged to apply.

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

Compensation Grade

Grade 31 (Entry, Step 01 $23.49/hr. - Step 03 $25.57/hr.)
