Sr. Tech PM who joins our Product Delivery and Integration team will be assigned to one of several exciting teams that are driving large scale, cross functional, enterprise priority initiatives

We are seeking an innovative individual with an enthusiastic, hard-working, technology mind-set to work well with a team developing solutions to drive engagement and dedication within our existing cardmember base and attract new customers to the AMEX brand. Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the quality delivery of applications and infrastructure components. The role will collaborate closely with business partners, Project Managers, Technical Engineers, Architects and Leadership, to ensure completeness and efficiency of solutions while ensuring alignment to standards.

Responsibilities include:

Drives coordinated teams, driving technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurancePartners with Product Management team(s) to develop viable roadmaps for platforms and capabilities within a portfolio to ensure that the full potential of a product can be realizedCoordinates execution of development projects from initiation through release, using SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum concepts.Works within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and complete the development schedule for major product releasesAdopts SDLC methods, Agile values, principlesManages and supervises team velocity, financials, and other critical metrics in relation to the plan and published progress reportsMaintains dependency plan between planned sprints across engineering, infrastructure, and third-partiesHandles and appropriately raises delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiativesMay perform hands on reviews of product backlog, designs, code, test scripts and results in addressing delivery impediments or product quality issues.Track iteration progress, contributes to design discussions and issue resolution and removes obstacles to ensure iteration commitments are met.Monitors and ensures compliance with SDLC standards, including ensuring deliverables across engineering teams are high-quality and clearly documented.Mentors, guides, and supports Technical Project Managers, Agile Champions, and other team members as appropriateProvides executive level updates at the program level to key leaders to showcase the health of the overall program and demonstrates a willingness to lead teams to sustainable solutions that scale appropriately within the enterpriseFinds opportunities to adopt innovative technologiesMinimum Qualifications:6+ years of technical project management experienceDeep understanding of all aspects of software design with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibilityExperience managing Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on that meet customer expectations for timeliness and qualityExperience managing project budgets and reporting while ensuring compliance with Rally and Agile delivery platformExcellent oral and written interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business product managersAbility to get industry leading solutions to market efficiently and effectivelyExperience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teamsAbility to enable business capabilities through innovationDemonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working softwarePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferredPMI Certification is a plusScrum Master Certification is a plusExperience using Rally agile delivery management platform is a plusExperience with object-oriented design and coding skills across a variety of platforms (JAVA, HTML5, BLAZE, DB2, XML and Mainframe) is a plusExperience with web services and Open API development, as well as SOA concepts is a plusExperience with payments technology and industry is a plus Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
