Potential for Full-Time Conversion


Key Responsibilities:


* Operate CNC Machines:

* Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.

* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining.

* Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.

* Sheet Metal Fabrication:

* Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, presses, and brakes.

* Perform tasks such as cutting, bending, and forming sheet metal components.

* Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards and specifications.

* Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

* Perform routine maintenance on CNC and sheet metal fabrication equipment.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

* Coordinate with maintenance team for complex repairs and servicing.

* Quality Control:

* Inspect machined and fabricated parts to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.

* Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality checks.

* Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.

* Safety and Compliance:

* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.

* Collaboration and Support:

* Assist in developing and improving machining processes and techniques.

* Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.

* Provide support to other machine shop personnel as needed.


Qualifications:


* Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.

* Experience:

* 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines and/or sheet metal fabrication equipment.

* Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly desirable.

* Skills:

* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.

* Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.

* Attributes:

* Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.


Physical Requirements:


* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

* Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery.

* Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
