Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in control theory and digital signal processing. This role is pivotal in enhancing the precision of RF and laser pulses essential for our quantum gate operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, and develop advanced algorithms for control theory and digital signal processing related to RF and optical signals.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested, production-ready code primarily in Rust and other programming languages.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of research physicists, hardware engineers, and software developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies within the team.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of software development experience in general-purpose programming languages, with a strong command of systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
  • Expertise in digital signal processing, including both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in areas like image processing, RF, or optics.
  • A solid background in control theory and the implementation of related algorithms.
  • Experience with programmatic data acquisition from instruments like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would enhance your candidacy include:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with RF or optical control systems.
  • Familiarity with navigation control systems and foundational knowledge of control theory algorithms.
