Key Responsibilities

The role involves leadership and management responsibilities associated with the delivery of services and operations in general aviation. The incumbent will:

  • Provide daily leadership and guidance to ensure consistent, safe, and reliable operations and services.
  • Oversee all service deliveries and manage service recovery as needed.
  • Engage with customers on various matters, including tenant relations and transient sales.
  • Conduct shift briefings with subordinate supervisors and team members.
  • Ensure that shift scheduling aligns with customer demand.
  • Act as a liaison for the company within the airport community.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures related to customer service standards, ramp operations, safety, and security protocols.
  • Assist customers with hotel bookings, ground transportation, catering, and other services.
  • Foster a safety-oriented culture through daily observations, routine audits, and documented safety procedures.
  • Promote customer loyalty by creating an environment that enhances employee engagement.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Oversee ground support equipment and facility maintenance operations.
  • Conduct investigations into accidents to identify root causes and manage all related reporting.
  • Administer the Computer-Based Training program and provide on-the-job training as necessary.
  • Ensure fuel quality control activities are conducted at the base.
  • Perform leadership tasks such as conducting annual reviews, making hiring decisions, and managing the performance of direct reports.
  • Handle time and attendance administration and onboarding of new employees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This position may require working in variable weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The candidate must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Read, write, and fluently communicate in English.
  • Analyze and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Write reports and business correspondence.
  • Present information effectively to groups of managers, clients, and the public.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and monitor expenses, work hours, and inventory.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Have a general understanding of business management and accounting principles.
  • Be proficient in using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
