Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer specializing in control theory and digital signal processing. This role is pivotal in enhancing the precision of RF and laser pulses essential for our quantum gate operations.

You will collaborate with a diverse team, including research physicists and hardware engineers, to tackle complex challenges in the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced control theory and digital signal processing algorithms for RF and optical signals.
  • Write high-quality, production-ready code in Rust and other programming languages.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to enhance operational methodologies.
  • Analyze and model hardware transfer functions, developing control loop architectures to address inaccuracies.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in general-purpose programming languages, with proficiency in systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
  • Strong expertise in digital signal processing, with practical experience in image processing, RF, or optics.
  • A solid foundation in control theory and its practical applications.
  • Experience with programmatic data acquisition from oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with RF or optical control systems.
