Job Responsibilities
Experience in report writing, performing wetland delineations, leading field crews, permitting. Experience in preparation of NEPA documents. Experience collecting data using GPS equipment; preparing GIS maps and exhibits. Prepare and review environmental reports, permits, and related materials. Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition and compliance. Proficient in mitigation process and procedures Perform advanced QA/QC implementation and oversight. Communicates scientific and technical information to the project manager and project team. Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
Knowledge of NEPA, and other local, state and federal regulatory requirements for environmental compliance and permitting. Minimum of 4-8 years or more years of environmental science experience supporting the transportation industry, such as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) work with TxDOT, a State or Federal Resource agency, a local government or metropolitan planning organization (MPO). Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in environmental science, biology, ecology, natural resources, geosciences, geography, or related field. Solid organizational and technical writing skills. Effective time-management, written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Articulate with professional presence and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists. Proficient with Microsoft 365, ArcGIS Must be able to conduct fieldwork, in sometimes inclement weather conditions, and be able to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.Benefits to name a few…
