Job Overview:

As a Junior Product Engineering Specialist, you will engage in understanding and implementing SSL Drafting and Production methodologies while assessing alternatives and proposing solutions for the engineering team. Your responsibilities will encompass standard calculations, analytical tasks, and 3D CAD design activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design, draft, and model both existing and new product lines.
  • Generate 3D models, 2D schematics, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
  • Offer technical assistance to manufacturing processes and field installations.
  • Enhance engineering capabilities through adherence to engineering protocols and training.
  • Produce working model samples for demonstration purposes.
  • Enhance the functionality of both new and existing products.
  • Revise processes, documentation, and drawings through the Value Improvement Process (VIP).
  • Commence testing in the engineering laboratory under supervision, while learning about ANSI Standards and their relevance to testing.
  • Contribute to projects as assigned or directed by senior engineers.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with High Voltage Switch systems.
  • Internship or co-op experience with Southern States.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and electrical tools, including multimeters.
