Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician

Location: Not Specified

The Mechanical Engineering Technician will focus on enhancing existing processes and tooling, conducting tests on numerous samples for both electrical and mechanical performance, and preparing final reports for evaluation by senior engineering personnel. Responsibilities will involve a blend of hands-on tasks and analytical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the scaling of manufacturing processes with validated prototypes.
  • Serve as an integrator within the product development cycle.
  • Provide assistance in process development.
  • Conduct repetitive testing while acquiring new knowledge.
  • Act as a liaison between the R&D team and Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Product Management teams.
  • Utilize measurement equipment to assess components, assemblies, and tooling.
  • Assemble and validate assembly and automation equipment.
  • Contribute to various test lab functions, including cross-sectioning of samples.
  • Perform basic drafting tasks to support fixture and machine development, as well as prototyping.

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical design, manufacturing, or testing capacity.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret geometric drawings, schematics, and block diagrams.
  • Self-motivated with mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with machine shop equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive processes involving the use of hand tools and lifting up to 30 lbs.

This position necessitates access to controlled technology subject to U.S. export controls. Qualified candidates must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain necessary authorizations from the U.S. Government.
