Job Title: Prototype Specialist
Location: Hampton, VA
Pay Range: $30-$32/ HR
What’s the Job?
- Making a steady stream of parts and building the early prototype models to collect flight data.
- Run CNC machines, waterjet cutters, 3D printer and put together prototype
- CAD/CAM – SolidWorks for CAD, each machine has their own CAM
- Build test stands to test motors and calibrate avionics
- Build specialized tooling for making custom parts (composites, injection molding, etc.)
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machining, waterjet cutting, 3D printing, etc.
- SolidWorks experience
- Familiar with composite design
- Experience building hardware
- Experience with prototype electronics, motors, etc. is a plus
