Key Responsibilities

Safety Adherence

  • Adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines along with all specific safety mandates relevant to the department.
Equipment and Tooling
  • Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Guarantee the safe design and functionality of all tools and machinery utilized in production.
  • Evaluate and select optimal techniques and tools for manufacturing processes after thorough research.
  • Provide financial justification for equipment, fixtures, and tooling by identifying suitable methods and tools.
  • Educate operators on the correct usage of new machinery and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to create and refine specifications for equipment.
Manufacturing Techniques
  • Assess and enhance work practices, ergonomics, and material handling to eliminate inefficiencies and boost productivity.
  • Contribute to plant layout design or independently implement improvements to workflow.
  • Employ various continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and step-down plans.
Communication
  • Deliver presentations on diverse topics, including cost analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare and disseminate various engineering documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison among part number engineers, supervisory staff, and operators.
  • Compile and present technical reports.
Internal Support
  • Offer manufacturing assistance to part number engineers.
  • Provide data analysis and information to address action items from Quality System Initiatives (QSIs).
  • Comply with all organizational attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and potential overtime.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Adept at effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Capable of working with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.
  • Competent in defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
