POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assembly Specialist at Southern States LLC plays a crucial role in the assembly, maintenance, and testing of electromechanical devices, including Circuit, Line Load, and Capacitor Switchers among other similar products.
KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in various formats including written, verbal, and diagrams.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams or individuals.
VALUE ADDITION:
• Manually or via overhead crane, transport designated components from storage to the assembly area.
• Utilize hand files or portable pneumatic grinders to smooth out metal parts.
• Apply lubricant to moving components and assemble parts on a workbench, adhering to blueprints.
• Insert shims to ensure proper alignment and spacing of components, confirming alignment and clearance.
• Assemble parts using bolts, screws, and rivets.
• Set up and operate drill presses and both hydraulic and manual presses.
• Connect electrical wires to subassembly terminals.
• Move subassemblies to and from storage as needed.
• Support fellow operators during assembly by providing necessary components or tools.
• Aid in the transportation and setup of equipment for testing purposes.
• Keep equipment and workspace in a tidy and organized state.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of performing essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are indicative of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); up to one month of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
