Position Summary:
The Production Assembly Specialist at Southern States LLC is responsible for executing repetitive subassembly and assembly tasks, adhering to the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually or using material handling equipment, transport designated parts from storage to the assembly area.
- Inspect and measure components to verify compliance with specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Apply lubricant to moving parts and assemble components on the workbench, following technical drawings.
- Secure parts using bolts, clips, screws, adhesives, or other fasteners, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools.
- Set up and operate drill presses and hydraulic or manual presses.
- Engage in assembly line work or at a workstation where tasks vary as different models progress through production.
- Connect electrical wires to terminals of subassemblies.
- Repair, rework, or replace defective components as necessary.
- Assist fellow operators during assembly by providing necessary components or tools.
- Support the transportation and setup of equipment for testing purposes.
- Conduct testing on all products as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or GED; 3-6 months of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition and subtraction of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in using basic mathematical tools such as calculators and measuring devices.
