About the role:
As we embark on an exciting phase of growth, Equitable Hiring Group is in search of a visionary leader to elevate our mission of promoting equitable hiring practices. With a strong presence in the community, we are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who will spearhead initiatives to enhance our impact and reach.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Formulate and execute the vision and strategic plan to fulfill our mission of equitable employment. Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet our financial objectives.
  • Engage with local organizations, government entities, and community partners to foster positive outcomes for job seekers and the organization.
  • Serve as the primary representative of the organization among key stakeholders to enhance visibility and awareness of our mission.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of community partnership agreements and collaborative initiatives.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture that attracts and retains talented staff, focusing on empowerment and morale.
  • Support the Operations Manager in building a cohesive and effective team.
  • Continuously refine programs, policies, and organizational culture to enhance effectiveness.
Fundraising and Financial Management:
  • In collaboration with the Board's financial committee, manage the organization's financial strategy to ensure sustainability and healthy cash flow.
  • Establish robust internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Oversee donor management systems and reporting processes.
  • Explore diverse funding avenues, including grants, events, and corporate partnerships.
  • Engage and cultivate relationships with individual donors to enhance support.
  • Identify grant opportunities and manage the grant application process.
  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Enhance awareness of Equitable Hiring Group through targeted campaigns and events to encourage community engagement.
Operations:
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop scalable and compliant operational strategies.
  • Ensure the long-term success of all organizational initiatives.
  • Oversee significant operational projects and ensure alignment with the Board of Directors.
About you:
  • Proven experience as an executive leader or in a philanthropic role managing a substantial operating budget.
  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of Equitable Hiring Group.
  • Expertise in engaging with diverse and underserved communities.
  • A creative problem-solver with high emotional intelligence and adaptability.
  • Collaborative and communicative, with a focus on team development.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Job Details:
  • This position reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Full-time, exempt role.
