Position Summary:
This role is an outside sales position focused on promoting Sysco's extensive range of products and services while fostering relationships with both new and existing clients. Your primary goal will be to assist Sysco customers in achieving their success while meeting the sales and profit targets set by the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop new business opportunities and enhance existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth within your designated territory.
2. Identify and qualify potential clients in alignment with company account stratification objectives.
3. Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitor offerings; provide valuable product information and practical training to customer staff.
4. Utilize your personal vehicle to visit customer accounts, attend conventions, and participate in company meetings.
5. Manage accounts receivable as needed, collaborating with the credit department and clients to resolve any issues that arise during the order process.
6. Actively participate in sales and district meetings, engaging in ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills.
7. Assist in training new team members as required.
8. Analyze daily and weekly reports, including special-order requests and sales margin data, to inform strategic decisions.
9. Perform administrative tasks such as preparing sales budgets, maintaining records, processing credits, and generating sales quotes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED with three years of relevant experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef is preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in basic PC skills and MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build trust and customer loyalty, along with persuasive sales abilities.
